It's been a couple of years since we visited Fieldbrook Valley Apple Farms, but apple picking in the fall is always a hit with the kids. This year, the recording on the farm's voicemail said that they were allowing on-tree picking, which is different than in past years, when you were only able to pick apples off the ground to press into cider (which was still an option, at a discount, if we desired). Iver is also picking up a lot of Spanish in in-person first grade and was thrilled to recoger manzanas.
We were limited to picking apples on the trees ringed with green ribbons, which was an easy rule for the kids to follow. They were taught how to pick and not disrupt developing buds.

Iver and I dug out my old juicer, which has been shelved in the garage for a decade, and made our own cider, which was a nice treat!
