I had a busy call weekend over Memorial Day and Kelvin took the kids on lots of fun adventures including river swimming, to a friend's house (with a neighbor with a backyard zipline!) and to a movie (Niall's first movie theater experience).
They watched Sonic 2 (about a lightning-fast cartoon hedgehog), and followed it with Sonic 1 streaming at home the next day.
Iver was then inspired to do cartoon art including the characters Sonic (in blue), "Tails" (fox, in yellow) and "Knuckles" (echidna, in red), along with Dr. Robotnik. He actually has taken to weekend morning running (dragging me with me) a mile or two trying to "beat his time" to the Chevron station a mile away (and back), so I call him "Sonic."
SO much Sonic fun!
