Our Easter was pretty mellow this year. We have been reading a lot of Bible Stories with Iver, including the Easter Story (and Berenstain Bears' versions) as well as other goodies like Noah's Ark, and David & Goliath (his favorite) lately, so the holiday (lead-up) was definitely more about Christ than candy for our little one(s). I was also on call so didn't plan too much (and, while I was not stuck at the birth center on Easter morning, the Easter Bunny almost forgot to put out the kids' Easter baskets and we remembered just in time!), but I was able to attend all of the egg-tivities we planned due to a light birth weekend.
Iver enjoyed the hospital's Egg Hunt on Saturday morning, although it was a bit rainy and my attention was a bit divided as I had one laboring patient across the parking lot who was about to push our her baby (I made it back with plenty of time to spare). He still finds the hospital bunny creepy/scary, but enjoyed the edible and non-edible treats given out.

On Easter morning, Niall (5:30) beat Iver awake (Iver had been to a parents' night out at his daycare the previous night and rose late at 7 a.m. ["He has Risen!" we exclaimed!]).
Niall's basket included these eggs where you match the shape-halves, and Pat the Bunny" and "Peter Rabbit" books. He liked toddling around with his basket as much as anything.
Iver got an Easter drawing book, a Frozen-themed springtime sticker book, some gummy snacks and a small quantity of jelly beans, a grow-a-chick egg, and some expandable (when water-exposed) Disney princess (Anna/Elsa and Cinderella) wash cloths.

Kellie had a few families over again for an eco-friendly outside egg hunt (the kids had to locate color-coded batches of hanging eggs), indoor wooden-egg hunt, and brunch. Due to Niall's morning nap, we missed the early crafts, including bunny-ears-making and dyeing eggs.
There were performative prizes for wooden eggs found. Here is Mark singing the "I don't want to go to the dentist for the cavities from eating too much Easter candy Blues"
