Niall's 10-month update

At 10 months, Niall:

- weighs close to 18 lbs (He was 17.5 lbs and in the 12% for weight at his 9-month well visit last month). He is in mostly 9-12 month clothing but he fits some 6-month outfits

- Has two dimples and two lower teeth (and all he wants for Christmas is his two front teeth which seem like they're coming soon).

- is still exclusively breastmilk-fed, drinking pumped milk at daycare and nursing at home (although, with recent sleeping through the night, he's dropped the 3 a.m. feeding).  He's a good solids-eater about 3x per day and loves to self-feed finger foods, so we are nearly off purees and onto ground-up versions of what we're eating. He loves yogurt, pasta, most fruits/veggies, and meats.

- is in cloth diapers during the day (with flushable liners) and size 3 overnight Huggies at night. He only had one constipated day without a BM when starting iron (as his hemoglobin was low at his well baby check), but is back to pooping multiple times per day, often first thing in the morning on the potty.

 - is doing great at the infant room at daycare, where he is adored by teachers and where, thankfully, the frequent fevers/illnesses have become less frequent. He has some stranger anxiety now but is overall very sweet, mellow, and cuddly.

- is an extremely fast crawler and very grabby. He pulls up, cruises, and loves to play/mess with Iver's artwork, toys, Pepper, and Pepper's water. He claps and points. He sometimes face plants and has his share of bruises and scratches as a result.

- sleeps in a crib in our room (while we've moved to the guest room, when we don't have guests, because we can't sleep through his half-awake moans and fussing).  For the past week, he has been sleeping through the night (as in 7-7:30 pm until 6 or 6:30 a.m.), falling asleep on his own within a few minutes of being put in his crib. He sleeps better than our almost 4-year-old (in the past and now)! He naps twice- usually around 9:30 or 10:00 for about an hour, and another afternoon nap around 2 p.m. We may move his crib into Iver's room soon, but are not sure how this will go (in term of either kid sleeping... wish us luck!).

- loves walks in the stroller or in the front-facing carrier, and baths (especially with big brother).  He smiles, laughs, giggles, and squeals a lot. He will say "ma ma ma," "da da da," and "ba ba ba." I thought I saw him sign "all done" after a meal once, but it may have been random arm-waving (we haven't been as good as signing to him as we were to Iver).
