Oscars 2016

Oscars 2016 almost didn't happen. Amidst an illness-filled and exhausting January, I wasn't sure that I, beat down by many things and feeling overhwhelmed with fatigue, health, life, and a busy toddler, could pull off hosting. "But it's an annual party!" Kelvin exclaimed, when I expressed my hesitation and concerns. Apparently, people had been asking him about it.  So it was on. 

We luckily have very generous friends who offered to make some appetizers (thanks, Lori and Mandy!) and to come a bit early to help watch our munchkin so we could get the last minute preparations ready.  We had some food catered to minimize the cooking. It was another fun night, although, having watched a grand total of one movie in the last 12 months or so, I can't say I was very invested in the outcomes of the contests. I do have some "to watch" movies on my list, though... which maybe, some decade in the future, I'll get around to watching.

...but Sara took home the prize for the most correct answers (wresting the title from Josh)!

Mike took home the Oscar for most correct category winners guessed, at 18 (!), also stealing the prize from Josh (second, with 17 correct, and last year's victor).
