Many people have asked us how Pepper is adjusting to our life that now includes a newborn. She is somewhat apprehensive but mostly quite indifferent.
She seems quite concerned when Iver cries (during diaper changes, for example) and follows me into the office/nursery when she hears him. She'll occasionally will sniff at his glider in the living room, but otherwise seems to go about her day without much change in routine. She still gets lots of cuddles, multiple walks a day (although Daddy has taken up more of this responsibility since Mommy is busy feeding and changing the baby), plenty of snacks and play time (especially as Mommy is home full-time, which she's never had before!), and still occupies the prime position in our bed (we are ok with doggie-co-sleeping although really want to avoid having Iver in our bed from which we have strayed these past two weeks!)! There are no signs of jealousy or snapping, which we really didn't expect from our sweet girl anyway.
She still likes to sit on her perch above the couch and hasn't jumped on Iver yet!
I'm interested on how things are going to be between these two once Iver is mobile -- crawling and then walking :)
