Merry Christmas 2017

Merry Christmas 2017!

For the first time in years, we are in Virginia to celebrate the holiday with my parents (alas, Vanessa and Marco are in Africa but we got to Skype with them).

We dressed up and attended a lovely Christmas party at the home of friends of my parents.  The lighting in my parents' living room isn't great, but we had some nice smiles for snaps.

We went to the afternoon Children's Christmas Eve Service at Redeemer Lutheran in McLean (where Iver insisted on dressing up and joining the children at the front!).

We opened family gifts on Christmas Eve (and really tried to keep gifts to a minimum, although I'm still not sure we'll be able to bring all of the presents back to CA in our suitcases).

The Magformers stole the show and made the rest of present-opening quite uninteresting for Iver!

Iver has enjoyed trying to un-decorate the Christmas tree and reading stories with Grandma and Grandpa.
