The slogan of our town, McKinleyville, is "Where horses have the right of way." It's not often, but it's not unusual in this area to see horses walking down the street (or sidewalk).
On Saturday, we participated in our first Pony Express Days festival (a town festival that has been going on since 1968). We joined Kellie, Mark, and Lincoln (and Nina/Matt/Ben) to watch the parade down Central Avenue.
In Pierson Park, Iver enjoyed checking out the Coast Guard helicopter.
He also has gotten over his fear of horse-riding and took a couple of loops around the pen on this pony!
