Wendi gave me the idea a few years ago to do pictorial reviews of past years on this blog. 2014 was a wonderful year, certainly one to remember. Now parents, our lives will never be the same (or as free, but we are itching to travel again soon :)!)
In January, we spent a much-needed (I remember feeling particularly burned out at this time) weekend away in Chico with the Rudicks (their family now includes another addition, miss Abby, born just last week!) at their ranch. We had great fun letting the dogs roam!
I remember watching Stan Wawrinka and Li Na win the Australian Open tennis tournament, which was phenomenal.
In February, Kelvin and I visited Bend, OR and stopped by the Painted Hills to check out the beautiful natural formations.
In March, we made it down to SoCal where we enjoyed watching some of the second round of our first BNP Paribas tennis tournament at Indian Wells. We'd LOVE to go back!
We also celebrated Rosha and Ahson's wedding in San Diego.
We also made it to the Bay Area to visit with Kelvin's grandfather who immigrated from Vietnam in April, and to visit San Jose friends.
In July, Kelvin and I traveled to Denver so I could attend a Family Centered Maternity Conference which was fabulous. We also had a FPOB reunion of sorts!
We drove out to Tennessee to see John, Wendi and the gang... and enjoyed some sightseeing.
In October, Kieu and Jimmy visited us in Arcata. We enjoyed the nice weather hiking in Trinidad, seeing the Redwoods, and eating oysters :)
We got into the Halloween spirit this year!
We had some baby showers.
In December, we eagerly awaited the arrival of our baby, due 12/29!
We became an aunt and uncle before we were parents, with the arrival of Kingston Lang (Kenn and Lisa's son), born 12/5.
We have enjoyed having K's parents here for Christmas and to take care of our new family in these few first crazy weeks.
We did NOT stay up until midnight on NYE. There's a lot of all-around sleeping going on in our house these days :)

In May during Memorial Day weekend, we traveled to the Portland area and celebrated Maya and Ananth's wedding in Salem.
In June, Serena and Brad came up for Oysterfest!
