Our Dungeness Dinner

Kelvin's coworker Geneva has a husband who is a crab fisherman. When she offered us some freshly caught Humboldt dungeness crabs yesterday, we accepted.

But they were LIVE!

While we both adore cooked crab, we have never had to cook it ourselves... so we turned to the internet. I of course let K do the "cooking" as I was too scared to touch the crawling things (whose metabolism/ activity was reduced to a minimum by keeping them on ice in cooler... but still!)

I felt a bit bad with Sebastian(s) in the pot, but we boiled water, added sea salt, and then boiled each crab (we didn't own a pot big enough for two) for about 15 min.

They turned out well!

(It's always a plus when I don't have to "cook.")
