My amazing sister-in-law, Katherine, organized a first birthday celebration for Iver on Saturday at Kenn and Lisa's place.
We kept it pretty casual, with mostly family in attendance (and some SoCal friends from college/med school who were around for the holidays), but she did a great job with the Superman-themed decor.
Unfortunately, it was really windy at the start of the party (it's interesting we could actually have an outdoor December party! ) and we feared that the decorations would collapse, but we got some photos in. I wish we'd taken more photos of and with our guests (thanks to everyone who took the time to come visit!), but we were too busy catching up with them-- and keeping up with our active toddler!
